Quick Start

This guide walks you through setting up Auditoro and running your first website scan so you can start monitoring it over time.

1. Create Your Account

Visit auditoro.io and sign up using:

  • Google - Sign in with your Google account for one-click access
  • Magic Link - Enter your email to receive a passwordless login link

No password required. Your account is secured through your email or Google authentication.

2. Start Your Free Trial

New accounts automatically start with a 14-day free trial of the Starter plan. During the trial you can:

  • Add up to 10 sites
  • Run up to 30 scans
  • Access all check types and features

No credit card required to start your trial.

3. Add Your First Site

From the dashboard, click Add Site and enter your website URL:

Auditoro will attempt to:

  1. Detect your sitemap at common locations (/sitemap.xml, /sitemap_index.xml)
  2. Verify the site is accessible
  3. Create the site in your account

4. Verify Site Ownership

Before running scans, verify you own the site by adding a DNS TXT record. This prevents unauthorized scanning.

5. Run Your First Scan

Once verified, click Start Scan to begin monitoring your site. Auditoro will:

  1. Fetch your sitemap to discover pages
  2. Crawl each page (respecting robots.txt)
  3. Run all quality checks
  4. Calculate your health score
  5. Display categorized issues

Scan duration depends on site size. A typical 50-page site completes in a few minutes.

6. Review Results

After the scan completes, you'll see:

  • Health Score - Overall site quality from 0-100
  • Issue Summary - Count of issues by severity (Critical, Caution, Advisory)
  • Issue List - All detected problems with details and recommendations

Click any issue to see:

  • Which pages are affected
  • Why it matters
  • How to fix it
